Will these be waterproof (i.e. Surfboards) or fire proof (i.e. spliff)?

Is this the name that you ended up with for the new (Cathedral) speakers?

Wrong circle I think.

No, wrong guess. This is wider than "4" fingers and weighs MUCH more than 28 grams.

Those look like Scanspeak rather than Aurasound woofers...if so, any comments on the differences? Are these sealed or ported?

They look like a cross between Garnet and RC5.
Great looking speakers, Rick!  :thumb: :thumb:

As posted, the speakers look like your Garnet and RC5.

What's the connection with Maui Wowie?

It looks like dual Aurasounds (the nicer series NS10-794), dual Accuton's (C82's?), and a Scan Speak 6600.   What I mean is they look awesome! I don't know about the doobage reference....but I'm sure they make some killer full range sounds.

Blessings to you and your craft Rick,

C

47" tall when the base (not pictured) is added. The cost will vary from $12K-14K / pair with shipping. The 5" Accuton midbass drivers are ceramic.

The woofer section (8 ohm impedance) is driven actively and the top section passively. The MTM (6 ohms) is very similar to the specs for the Garnet monitor that we had at last year's RMAF. Some changes were made to the crossover to place a high pass filter on the midbass drivers.

The 10" drivers are in a sealed enclosure and EQ is added via the plate amp driving them. They are -3db @43hz and -10db @23hz. Due to the slow rolloff the bass extension is excellent (no room gain in these specs).

See my answer below. It's a sealed enclosure.
