This is the four-input, two-output version. Dark red wood sides and bottom, shiny metal top. It is in excellent shape with only a couple of minor scratches in the top which are not noticeable unless looking closely. The wood sides are also in very good condition with some scratches on the bottom.
I bought this from well-known AC member Ryan Tew and have used it off and on in a couple of systems over the past year. In each case it has rendered the music in a very pure manner. Now I am settling into a system which uses an integrated source and preamp (Slim Devices Transporter) so this will serve someone else better.
There is a small, and to some, inconsequential glitch. On volume setting #6 (out of 22 I believe) one of the channels (I think the right) cuts out. This happens ONLY on this volume level and only in one channel, which tells me it is probably a loose connection and therefore an easy fix for someone who knows this stuff, which is NOT me. Correct me if I'm wrong but looking at the way this is wired I don't think this can 'contaminate' any of the other volume settings. In any case this happens very low down on the volume scale so unless you have massive gain in your source or some other unusual thing going on, you will do as I did and never even need to use this setting. I always played it at 9 and up. After all this thing has no gain!
