PurePower Model 2000

I had noticed a thread or two about these products and have been a dealer for a couple years.

I just recently received notice that the 20 amp Model 2000 will be shipping June 1st.

Below is the message:

Quote
We have added a new model to the top of the line, called the Model 2000.    It will feature 20 amps (2100 watts), 10 receptacles, allowing the biggest systems in the world to use PurePower with complete confidence.   The Model 2000 sells for $2995 MSRP and begins shipping in June.   Orders are being accepted now

Over the next 30 days I can offer an attractive "preorder" price for anyone interested.

It is claimed that these offer the closest thing to battery power you can find and still be on the grid.  In fact, some have performed A/B of on the grid and on the battery, and claimed to hear no difference.

So the unit shipped 5 months and 15 days later.   I got it just before the Holidays to play with it.  It's quite a performer.  After I plugged everything in (amps and all) and let things warm up, I played a CD (I still play them ) I know well.  I was thinking, "Damn, Ileana (Cotrubas) is sounding good."  The more I listened, the more I liked the vocal tones.  I put in my acid test CD and listened.  Maria Callas sounded good.  I always hear her "raspy," and dissonant voice grating on CD but not this time.  It was like I was listening to her on vinyl.

APS 2000 is a much better unit than the 1050.  More robust too as I am sitting at 58% load with everything but the sub amps plugged in.  I was running at 78% with 1050 which may have had something to with the failures.  Now I have to wait and see if it will hold up.

Here is a review from Romy the Cat.
