Seattle at Night
« on: 2 May 2008, 06:04 am »
I visited Seattle, Washington over the weekend and I really enjoyed my stay there.  There are so many beautiful things to see and do in Seattle.  I visited the original Starbucks at Pike's Market, Tower Needle, Tulips garden, Glass Museum, etc.  I took some pictures back with me.  So here are some of them.

The Tower Needle at night.

Stunning picture of the Space Needle!

That's a pretty wide lens you are using there... what is it?

Hey!

    Very nice Levi. :D

But where is the picture of the original Starbucks? That is like the biggest attraction for coffee drinker like myself!

Take care,
Buddy :thumb:

Levi,
Great stuff, especially the Space Needle! I lived in Seattle for a Summer... I think around 1993. I loved it there and would like to go back someday.

Nice shots Levi! (just nix that green flare on the Needle and you're set!)  The city views almost seem volcanic, like the traffic glow is lava and the black buildings are cooling rock crust.

Thanks Nathan for the tip.  That looks like a UFO.  I will try to do some post processing next time.  I started using NEF format but cannot see much difference between .jpg vs. raw.  Hmmmm...

Thanks Buddy, I took some pictures of the original Starbucks at Pike's Market.  Stay tuned!  There are lots of excellent Coffee shops in Seattle.  One of the best place to hang out and drink Coffee.

Mike, the city is beautiful!  Summer is probably less rainy.  I was blessed with dry weather.

No, no, no. It rains almost all the time.   Dreary, damp, dank in the winter, summer is just brighter, damp, and less dank. Occasionally snow, like last month.  Yes, the coffee is nice, but also expensive.

Nice pics Levi. Good to hear you caught the area on some good days.

Thanks Arthur.  Yes, I was told that I was lucky with dry weather 2 days in a row.

I'd love to go fishing there next time I visit.

Great pics at the space needle. Did you use your tripod ? I can see a ghost of a passerby in the picture...

Equally popular is this Pike Place Fish Co.  We tried their Dungeness Crabs (really huge!).
