Am selling this BD-P1200 for a friend who bought it last October but has now "upgraded" to a Sony PS3. It's in great physical and operational condition, and has all the most recent firmware updates. He travels a lot, so it hasn't seen much use.

Darn, I just placed an order for a brand new one yesterday a couple of hours before you put up this post.  From what I've read, it's an excellent player in both Blu-Ray mode and upconverting SD DVD's.  It uses the kick butt Silicon Optix Reon VX chip/processor.

Yep vman, it is an oustanding player in both BR and standard mode. I'm very tempted to keep it for myself, but have too many other things to buy at the moment.
Motivated seller...price just dropped to $195 plus shipping. Also should note that original box and manual are included.
