That beautiful pair of ice birch Galenas from the Floorstander page of the Selah Web site are being offered on Audiogon for $3K!!!! Man, that fellah must be in some desperate straits, wot? I'm definitely feelin' his pain, but what I wouldn't give to have a loose $3K laying around the house right now!! Doh!!!

Oh, yeah, saw them yesterday....Beautiful.....  Looks like he's been selling stuff off for a few months now.

Wonder how they sound compared to the RC4's I've enjoyed recently?   Think I need to hear some of Rick's line arrays before going with another 3 way floorstander,  otherwise I'd be writing the check yesterday...

Agreed.

It is a positively screaming deal...for sound...for fit...and for finish. His loss will surely be someone else's gain.

I am seriously considering them, but need to use drivers that are slightly more child resistant.

I'm not sure how the drivers could be much more child resistant. I have the first pair of Galenas, and besides loving their sound and appearance, find them to be very stable (non-tippy) and the ribbon is behind a metal screen as opposed to an exposed dome. In addition, the woofers have a concave dust cap instead of the typical convex.

I am the seller of these Galena's and amazingly they are still available.  They are now extremely well packed and ready to ship off to whoever decides to buy.
