Looking to sell my SE-44. Its a single ended beast of a tube amp, 22watts per channel, Pure Class A. Separate power supply.

Its in mint condition, has about 75 hours on it. Its sat in my secondary system for its entire life (less than a year!). Now that system is gone, and papa needs a new amp for his main system.

Posted to AG.  Contact me for "special" pricing.

Buy this one, and save the whole waiting game when buying new!

Power supply is now back, it's all fixed up and is fully outfitted to the latest and greatest!

Given that your current asking price of $1300 is very close to the list price ($1549 according to the McAlister website), it might help if you give a ballpark idea of what you mean by best offer.

FWIW, I own a PP-150 and think that it performs well above its price point.

Well,  Not sure what would fly.  I guess I figured that 250 off an amp with less than a couple hundred hours on it was fair, especially with a power supply that is now basically as new.  The buyer also gets the benefit of not having to wait the usual 2'ish months to get the amp from mcalister :P And the price of 1550 doesn't include shipping, which I'm wiling to split.

If someone is interested and there is a small sticking point on price, I'm willing to accommodate.
It wont be selling for 1/2 price or something though.  I'll keep it before losing that much :)

cheers

The PP-150 is an incredible amp.  I owned one for a year.  The one amp I wish I held onto given the performance to price.....now why did I sell it?

McAlister amps=value and sonics!

The wait time for a McALister piece is VERY long right now. 6 months is my guess, regardless what Peter tells you. I have the SE32S and I absolutely ardour it!!! Most musical amp I've owned and heard up to thousands of dollars.

Hold your price, list on Audiogon. To get a McALister amp in a couple of weeks as opposed to months is worth full price in my book.

I have his P-10 preamp too and the synergy between the two is remarkable.

Spend the 6 bux and put the thing on AG already!

Much more exposure over there, and you will probably get a better price!

Good luck on the sale!

audiogon might be the answer.  I just have such good luck usually with the circle.  Its a comfort thing :)  Going to the 'gon is like jumping from a luxury fish tank into the Thames :)

I'll look into it tonight.  Do my best to put it up on the weekend.

thanks guys!
