I was wondering how long a USB cable can be before degradation.  Anyone know?

There are also some CAT5 extenders for USB that greatly extend the distance.

Or you can add a USB hub to get an additional 3-5m.
I thought they had increased the distance with the USB2 spec, but I couldn't find any details on that.
