(re the new Balanced Audio Technology VK-60 Amplifier)

So yesterday evening, my wife Betsy and I were relaxing in the living room listening to Billie Holiday, one of Betsy's favorite artists.  When I put it on, Betsy said "I thought you didn't like Billie Holiday."  I said. "I want you to enjoy the new amp, too."  I've always told her she needed to buy music that she liked and enjoy "our" stereo system/s.  After a couple songs Betsy says, "Boy, it sounds like she's right here in the living room singing!"  She was really diggin' the new amp!  And she's right, it really did sound as though she was singing right there in front of us.  Quite cool.

I've always taken some "gentle heat" for the $$ and time I spend on music.  So that was nice to hear!  I think this one rates the coveted dancing banana smiley.

Amen brother!  It does feel good to have justification for your obsession.

I've had a few similar experiences. Occasionally, during particularly intense movie scenes from the corner of my eye I can see my wife turn her head my direction. When I look at her, her eyes are WIDE open and mouth agape. "Wow, I feel like I'm right there in the middle of the action" she says.  8) :thumb:

Also, one of my many ebay purchases of 'lots' of CD's, my wife became the beneficiary of a few discs. They were artists that she had never heard of, but now rate among her favorites. I suppose giving her a few CD's now and then could be called "throwing her a bone".  :green:

Absolutely.  It's something for everyone to enjoy.  It's always a good thing when someone else (especially the spouse) 'gets it'.

Cool! Maybe there's something in the air... I'll let you know if my wife "appreciates" the new GIK products that should be here this week.

Hmmmm - if you mean you're putting sound reflection materials up on the walls, I kinda have my doubts . . .

We kept it minimal - don't want to scare her all at once  :o

It's all in how you present it.  If it sounds better to her and she's into it, then it's not a big deal.  I was shopping with my wife last night and she found this set of wall hangings that looked like small sets of poly diffusors.  She pretty much insisted that I buy 2 sets of them for the living room to improve the sound.

I will caveat this by saying she's one in a million.  I showed her a set of GR LS-9's and told her I was thinking of getting a pair for the living room.  Her comment?  "What wood finishes are there to choose from?"  After that, 4 GIK Pillars are a piece of cake to get in the room.

Gotta love her... :notworthy:
