Head's up on the AKfest room sizes

I stayed in a Embassy Suites this week and wished I had a tape measure.  I used my arm spread to measure and compared to what the local ES said the room sizes were via email.  Acoustically, hotel rooms are never ideal and then trying to pack equipment and people into a hotel room can be frustrating.  The ES suite rooms have a layout with a front room 12.5 wide where the entrance is by 15' deep.  8 foot ceilings in my location this week.  There is a full height window on the door wall, a soffit on the wall front to back on the wall that is not the wall right next to the door.  The air vent is up on the wall opposite the door next to a sprinkler head.  There are outlets on the sidewalls only and not the door/window wall or the half wall opposite the doorway.

There is a small bedroom in the back closer to 12.5' x 12 feet.  Between the two rooms is a bath and opposite that is a small kitchenette straddling the hallway between the front and back rooms.

So from an acoustical perspective they are almost square.  Where to set up for best listening, best power connection, best seating, best entrance and exit (people flow), and best visual presentation/staging will result in compromise of most parameters I have listed.

I "borrowed" the page from their guest book and will try to enlarge it and post it.

The Livonia hotel said their room was 12.5 x 15 which is what I measured for the front room in Pittsburgh this week.  I'm not sure how to set up Jim's room.
