These can be used like structural columns. Massively built. I bought mine new about 7 years ago for monitors for about $345...and at $200, used, they are still a bargain. They have become ever rarer in the used market as people do not let them go, even if they are not being used. I have mine in the attic for future uses. Someone ought to pounce on them although the shipping will be expensive...most likely if UPS is used, eventhough they might destroy their packing, I think it is their package handling gear or their trucks that will actually get damaged with these stands.
