Solar Hi- Fi and Carver Pro ZR series amplifiers ???????????

Two weeks ago the ZR series amps were the best thing since sliced bread and cheap to buy. Out of nowhere comes a company called Solar Hi-Fi with their new digital integrated and now they make tastier sliced bread.

Where if ever will it end

Guess I will just come back in a week or so and see who is baking what?????

P.S. I know nuttin about this new amp and am not even sure you can buy one.

Two differences that I'm aware of:

1) The Carver is a "pro gear" product, designed and manufactured for use in professional settings (recording studios, etc.), whereas the Solar was designed from the ground up to be a hi-end consumer product.

2) Price point. This is an educated guess, but you should be able to pick up a Carver Pro ZR1000 from Nathan @ Eighth Nerve for a little over one-third the price of the Solar integrated. For almost 3-times the price, you SHOULD hear a difference.

Undoubtedly there are many other differences, but these two came immediately to mind after reading your comments.

Hey, Solar Hifi didn't come out of nowhere! They've been on audiocircle for months

People always get excited about "new" technologies. It comes in waves. This one looks like it might stick.

I know I for one am waiting for the new sony avd 500es. When it comes out in about 2-3 weeks that's where all the buzz will be, because of the price. If it sounds good watch out.

This amp is indeed available for purchase. Until I get the details on my website hammered out, the best info about the amp is in Market Square.

Dear asiseeit, How come you're picking on KevinW.It looks like he is bringing a well thought out product to the market. It was well received
by all who heard it. He is even brave enough to send it on over to Brian
to have it measured. This may be a good alternative to more expensive
digital and analogue amps. I say give him a chance.
