Hi,
The web is humming with Monster Cable's attack on Blue Jeans cable and the very clever and humourous defence; following on from Monster coming under criticism for sacking its US labour force without any redundancy pay. 
Do I recall their cable being used in some of the VMPS range? - not like B to pay over the odds!

Any recommendations on cable to use for a 90ft run to 626's - I'm thinking of 12 or 10 guage?

Wish I were as well versed in legal-ese.....and could've fended off numerous charges of patent violation without paying dastardly lawyers. 

I'm not taking sides...but unlike too many audiophools that will rush to the aid of the smaller competitor in these cases, I believe Monster Cable has the right to defend patents if they indeed exist.

Who's claiming that they have no right to defend their patents (assuming they're defensible)? The uproar is over Monster's predatory tactics over the "Monster" tradename. Specious lawsuits hardly show good intentions from a co. whose tactics are to steamroll other cos. merely because they possess the financial wherewithall to do so. Monster & Microsoft should merge to create a humungous ogre.

Monster is not alone in being overly aggressive in the audio industry.  One audio company has sued over so many things it is truly amazing.  They even got another manufacturer to change it's model no. (which were nos.).  It's a fact of life that those with resources can do more than those without.  In many cases I believe the company doing the bullying does not really weigh the damage they do to themselves with regard to reputation and the manner it may hurt vs. the value they think they are defending.

We have used 12 gauge Monster Cable in the past as bass wire in some applications.  We do not currently use any Monster products in our speakers.

Stock wire is 14 gauge Analysis Plus copper on the bass, and 18/20 gauge Teflon insulated silverplate copper on the mid and treble.  Upgrades like the Bolder Silver wire are available.
