Earl Geddes' Summa is a revolutionary loudspeaker for its extraordinarily precise radiation pattern control as well as for its ultralow coloration in a super-high-output loudspeaker. At present the Summa is no longer made in the US; an equivalent is made in Thailand under the brand name Audio Intelligence or Ai, but has no representation in the US at this time.
Here's a link to an educational paper Earl wrote about the Summa:
http://www.gedlee.com/downloads/Cum%20laude.pdfEarl has two pairs of left for sale that he built himself, and I'm helping him find buyers. One pair is in Red, the enclosure is fiberglass, and it's ported (bass goes down to about 40 Hz). Asking $3900, plus packing and shipping.
The other pair is Royal Blue, the enclosure is carbon fiber, and it's a sealed box, asking $4500 for the pair plus packing and shipping. This one is functionally the equivalent of the Ai ESP-15, which you can see here:
http://www.ai-audio.com/productsesp.htmlIncidentally, the red speaker in the background on the page linked to above is the same color as the ported red fiberglass pair.
Either of these can be painted a different color, for a price of course - that would be between you and Earl.
I was Earl's only dealer when he was making and selling the Summa here in the US, and I assembled a few so I can answer most questions about them. The ported pair goes down to about 40 Hz or so, and the sealed pair obviously needs a subwoofer for the bottom end.
Thanks for taking a look.
