This is a Special Edition 12ax7/ECC83 that is supposed to last 10,000+hrs.  These are pretty rare and are a very desirable tube.  Straight pins and very good lettering.  They test very strong:
TUBE 1 –  10000/10500 TUBE 2 –  10000/10000 where a new tube tests at 12500.

BUMP...I just listened to these on Sunday night vs. a pair 60's Telefunken tubes and there's no competition, these Mullards do everything better.  The Tele's set the bar pretty high to begin with but these box plate Mullards go another 25% farther in making the music sound even better.

I think Kevin Deal sells these same tubes NOS on his site for $30 per tube.
Are these any different?

Kevin Deal has a single pair ov CV4004.  Taken directly from his website:

"Mullard CV4004/12AX7 boxed-plate, made in Great Britain. The most sought after 12AX7 we have. It was sad that we were down to our last box, but Uncle Kevin did the deal and found some that were stocks from the Australian Royal Navy. Dig those Aussies!!! These are bulk packed and as perfect as it gets."

He's selling his for $60 per tube (I guess $50 per tube if you've bought gear there).

Mine are actually labelled "Mullard" but other than that, there's probably not too much difference.

Seesh, I'm intersted, I'm exploring whether my integrated can use E80cc's which have a different sound
sound than any 12AU7 and  could be an all around superior tube i that position. Would sure rather buy from a fellow
AC'er than deal with Deal.

I'll get back to you by pm.
