Yes 4 hands is amazing. That's Antoine Dufour, one of the four guitarists I recorded for International Guitar Night 1 in 2006.

Can anyone recommend any albums by these guys, I've been looking for some new acoustic guitar to listen to and I've always enjoyed strings.

Wow, mca I love you.  I just found a great collection of what seems to be very well-recorded acoustic guitar material including Antoine Dufour's stuff.  Thanks again.

Wow, thank you!  Candyrat is a gold mine, at least for my tastes.  Tom

That's a fantastic website. Anyone aware of other sites like that? I listened for over an hour to the artists...quite impressive.

An acoustic guitarist that flies under the radar but that I feel superb (both technically and musically) is Tony McManus.  His web site calls him "Celtic" but he's much broader than that.  I might recommend his Ceol More

yeah, truly amazing, glad you find his music enjoyable.

if you read the liner notes on aerial boudaries, it says all tracks played live in the studio. i figured it was a joke and that he had to be doing overdubs.

the first time i saw him was in ann arbor at the ark and i was right in front of him. my jaw hit the floor. my wife and i got to see him a lot before he died, and i feel fortunate to have been able to do that.

suffice to say, i wondered why i bother picking up a guitar at all after hearing and seeing him.

you might also want to check out preston reed. i got started with Pointing Up, i think its pretty good.

Andy Mckee is really good as well.

Both of those guys have videos on YouTube.

Michael Hedges "Breakfast in the Field" was also quite the classic and worth a listen.  Amazing player and now often imitated, but never equaled IMHO.  Tom
