My buddy was looking for a fairly inexpensive surround sound set up and asked me about this compnay.  I know nothing about them and thought I would ask here.  He said they are a direct company and some of their speakers have gotten excellent reviews for their price.  Any input is appreciated.

Hey there,
I've hard many guys speak very highly of SVS's cylindrical subs, but have never heard any news on the surround packages. Take that for what it's worth, but it might be saying "somthing" about the quality of their other (non-sub woofer) products.
