I have a ModWright beta tube stereo pre-amp that I need to sell. I had this in my main system for a while. Long story short I had this pre-amp while I waited over four years for my Audible Illusions pre-amp to be built, the pre has not been used in some time though. This is an awesome sounding pre that includes an extra pair of tubes. It has 4 inputs & 2 outputs. I don't think you can find a better pre for the money. I am looking to get $650 out of it, I paid $1200 when I bought it.

I would also be willing to trade for an amp, maybe a McIntosh, BAT, Quicksilver or something else. Tubes preferred except for the McIntosh. Let me know what you have & maybe we can work something out!

Sorry to hijack the topic but ....FOUR YEARS to wait for a preamp to be built? I could probably build one in that time and I don't know solder from soldier.

Yep VERY long story that I did not think would work out but in the end Art is a stand up guy & true to his word. Btw it was well worth the wait.

Is this the two box beta unit, or a one box unit?  Did you get it from Dan directly?

It is the two box Beta unit. No I did not purchase it from Dan, I purchased it off Agon in May of 2006
