Anyone have a good suggestion for a sealed or front-ported monitor that can handle a lot of power and high volume?  Budget is between $1k-3k...

i have a pair of dillon acoustics ego's i'd consider parting with - they were made w/a few upgrades & tank-like cabinets.  (by the p.o.)  they look decent, but definitely look like they're home-made.  not sure if it's what you're looking for, but they do sound killer, & the price would be considerably less than your entry point.  sealed boxes, rated at -2db at 85hz, they really need subs in a moderate sized room, or larger.  according to the specs, they will do ~103db continuously, & hit peaks of ~107db...  here's a link that gives all parameters; feel free to pm me if this is something that might work for you:
