I am sure there are several but with the tubes in the preamp stage.

The Almarro A50125A...125 w/channel. Don't know if it qualifies as "really good" on a par with the VAC, but Almarro's lesser powered amps have gotten some great reviews.

What qualifies as a "ton of power"? What speakers are being driven?

:D  push-pull 110 wpc or close should drive a set of SP Tech Revs.i kinda was thinkin' out loud that a good integrated would save on cable costs and not far off the sound of separates....keep an eye out for a used VAC.... :D

The Jolida Model JD 1000RC w/ Remote Control is a high powered integrated. I have not heard it....don't know how it sounds...

Forget it....just read an AA review...

I think the best option would be hybrid integrateds, w/ tube preamp. If you go with LSA Standard, you get 150 wpc.

The Valve Audio Predator is a 200/wpc hybrid integrated that might fit the bill:

why on earth would anyone need a 110W PP amp???? - my 40W PP amp drives anything. Do your speakers have sensitivity of less than 80db?

The first watt is the most important.

Though dealing with BK Butler is an adventure I don't care to repeat, the Butler Audio Monad monoblocks are among the best amps I've ever heard, irrespective of price.

If you're patient, you can pick up a pair on the used market at a fraction of their ~$19k retail price.  IMHO, the combination of ready power (~110W/Ch into 8 Ohms, 2 Farads of capacitance) and 300B goodness is tough to beat.

You may want to ping Karsten about them, too.  I believe he still owns a pair.

Hi, Pat.  I'm doing well, my friend.  :thumb:

Yeah, the Monads might've been just the ticket for you.  The highs are midrange was outstanding IMHO, but the bass they produced was the best, most articulate I've heard from an amp.

I've never heard 'em, but that's a *crazy* amount of power.

And I mean that in the best possible way.

If price was an indicator of quality, they'd probably take you and the Revs to incredible sonic heights.  But since we all know that isn't true (i.e., price doesn't equal quality), you'd run the risk of spending nearly 20 large for amps which are best suited to heating your house.  :(

Sorry if this is seen as a shill, but Vincent makes several hybrids that fit your need for power as well.

I can only imagine how much heat those GT800's put off...you might need to provide them their own A/C unit!

Freo-1

Well, it depends on how much you want to spend.

These seem reasonable for the price:

I really think the laws of diminishing return apply here (IMHO).

I have the Cayin 100T paired with Salk Ht-1's.
