Hi,

I read a lot of threads on the vinyl circle regarding 'what turntable I should buy'.  Well this is the one you should go for the Systemdek II is a really good older turntable.  Much better than the classic rega 2 or 3 imo.

If I lived in the states I would 'pony up' and buy this turntable.

that's a fair price with no cartridge.  depending on which ortofon, & what condition, it might be a very fair price...     i agree it sees off the entry-level rega's w/no problem...

I've got to agree with the other guys. I owned the Systemdek 2X2, the IIX's big brother and these are some fine sounding tables. One of the nicer suspended tables out there. One thing that isn't mentioned is that Peter Qvordrup at Audio Note is offering Acrylic platter upgrades for the IIX. This makes a dramatic difference in the sound (the acrylic platter is the basis of design for the 2X2 and the current AN TT-1 tables). Toss in an offset counterweight somewhere down the road and you've got a serious table for not much bucks (bee there done that, still own the hot-rodded AN TT-1).

Let me put it this way, if I hadn't just bought another table, I'd have a PM into eparson to buy this one. This is a GREAT way to cheaply enter into the vinyl world.

What gives?

The last I heard from you was your telling me that the turntable was packed and ready to be shipped on April 2 or 3 and that you would send me a tracking number.

I have heard nothing since then even though you have posted on the forum since then.

No response to my emails or PM's.

For now, I will chalk it up to carelessness, but if I do not have an update by Friday, I will have to consider canceling payment.

Anyone reading this should know that this a great person to do business with.  He has been of great assistance in helping me jump back into analog.  I see $$$ disappearing into stuff I am just going to have to have.
