I don't think they are a waste in money in the least but it's a subjective subject that rests with the listener. I use 3 AV123 ERT's (Extended Response Tweeters) on my front 2 Lorelei's and Usher X-616 center. As subtle as they are I feel they've made a positive difference, even on my center speaker. I found mine to b a little harsh the 1st day but by day 3, that had disappeared. AS prices go on Supertweeters the AV123 ERT's are as cheap as can be found but I like them. Some don't but then again, that's the subjective part of things. The only way to find out for sure is to try them for yourself and return them if they're not for you.
