No longer for sale: I've decided to keep them.
Dodd Audio Mono 50s (48 wpc, push pull) in beautiful curly maple (same as in Gary Dodd's acclaimed battery powered linestage) in superb condition with the Platinum (Teflon) Sonicap capacitor and PRP/Kwame resistor upgrade.
These amps each use two 7044/5687 driver tubes and one NOS RCA 829B (2 in 1) output tube for a seductive SET like sound with excellent extension and dynamics. The tubes are widely available and very inexpensive - about $10 for a 7044 and $15-20 for an 829B - and according to Gary will last for several years. Bias meter included and I'll also add three extra 829Bs. The binding posts are Tellurium copper (4 and 8 ohm and, of course, ground). Gary has not produced a manual for these amps and I've never seen a used pair for sale before.
I am the original owner of less than one year. The amps have only been wiped with a microfiber cloth to avoid any scratches and have been alternated in my system with other amps over my ownership period.
Anyone local (I'm in mid Nassau County, LI, NY) who is seriously interested is welcome to come by to audition them. I will double box for shipping (about 40 lbs. each amp). There are pics on A'gon: I haven't figured out yet how to add pics here.

ONE CAVEAT. THESE AMPS ARE NOT FOR A HOUSEHOLD WITH A SMALL CHILD. WHEN SWITCHED FROM STANDBY TO OPERATE MODE THE WIRES INTO THE TOPS OF THE TUBES (see pics) RUN SEVERAL HUNDRED VOLTS.
