Recently, Kevin from Dynakitprts.com sent Frank a chassis for an ST-70. Yesterday, I picked up the chassis from Frank. I have seen a few replacement chassis for the ST-70, but none of them comes close to the quality of the Dynakitparts product!
The chassis is made from stainless steel, and has the original silkscreen lettering. The finish is absolutely beautiful! I really liked that the bottom chassis plate is covered with a protective coating to keep it from being scratched during shipment and assembly.
I also had an opportunity to replace a stock Dyna choke (C-354) with Dynakitparts choke. The new choke was an exact drop in replacement. The quality was also top notch.
Kevin has excellent products, and I highly recommend them for anyone wanting an original Dyna 70, or a base kit for the AVA Ultimate 70. FYI: I’m building a second Ultimate 70 amp for my system, and will be ordering the remaining parts needed from Dynakitparts, and likely will order a new chassis to replace the old pitted Dyna 70 chassis in my current Ultimate 70.
