The transformer gets very warm, even hot.
I get neither + or - 15 volts off of it. I once got +15 volts but not -15, when I had one of the primaries wire the other way.
Here are some pictures.
My wiring is such that all the grounds on the RCA's are connected except the phono in is connected to the bugle, and the output grounds are then wired into the other RCA's grounds. The selector switch is just right and left signal. The volume pot is wired with signal in middle, left to switch, and right to Bugle. (I tried to make all of the solid copper cotton insulated stuff not touch each other, and be as point to point as possible.
Things I do know... My Bugle once worked, the power supply has not been tested. It was assembled with care. I double checked everything on the board and all of the diodes and stuff are in the right direction (facing at least). I am pretty sure all the capacitors are as well. I used a mix of FM and FC Panasonics.
My switch works and gives 115v.
When I got +15 it might of been higher than 15, but I did not look close enough at my multimeter.
Here are pictures. One thing I am wondering is why the negative connects to the capacitor on B2 (bugle side second battery, right side). It seems like it would be the other way but I just followed instructions that did not mention this.
(Ignore the severed ground, I was just thinking I had a ground loop, but I will put it back later, not important for playback entirely)
