Just wondering if any AudioCircler has any experience with the Auditorium 23 Speaker Cables?

The Auditorium 23 speakers are very natural sounding, excelling in timbral accuracy and vocals. Bought them secondhand. Installed them between my Leben CS600 and Rogers LS3/5as. Fatigue-free, very easy on the ears! Will let them settle-in a bit before posting something more informative.

Meanwhile, any AudioCircler with experience of them are most welcome to post their views.

The A23's have been in my system for almost 2 weeks now. Time to post a follow-up of the A23s.

Speaker cables, as with cabling in general, tends to elicit two kins of responses: the first is what I call the "wow" factor and the second, the lack of "wow". How often have I placed new SCs in my system, sit back and exclaim "wow". However, longer term listening makes me question the initial, exuberant "wow" and warts begin to appear, not to mention listener fatigue as well. The A23s certainly don't fall into the first category: in fact, it tends to underwhelm on first impression but spending more time with it makes me realise more and more of its virtues. It is a cable that "grows" on you, very self-effacing at first, and certainly does not seek to impress at all. The A23s are not the most revealing cables that have graced my system, not the kind with laser-sharp imaging that dissects the sonic picture with pin-point accuracy at the expense of making instruments sound, well, like what they really are. A piano sounds like a piano and not a honky tonk piano. You will be able to discern an electric piano from a real piano. Ditto other instruments. It is the most honestly revealing SC that I have heard. I think I am going to like these cables .....

I had them and liked them quite a bit.  Then I compared them to $50 Clear Day solid silver cables bought direct and thought they were, if not *quite* as good, very close, and $900 cheaper.  So I sold them.

It probably helped that I had a 2.5M pair of the 23s but only *need* 4 feet - and that's the length of Clear Days I bought.

My system: Acoustic Solid turntable, Rega 300 arm, Ortofon Kontra H cart, Shindo Monbrison, Yamamoto 45, Lamhorns.  It's as revealing as all get-out.

I had read good things from people whose views I often trust.
I tried them on my Bryston B100 and JMR speakers.
Great mids, clean treble BUT very bloated bass.
I got rid of them.
A mate who has Shindo had similar experience.
So you should try them on your own system.

Bloated bass? Now that sounds very surprising to me. I did not get a feeling that the bass was bloated and wondered if it was something else in your system and synergy that was causing this.

Never heard of Clear Day speaker cables but what do I know! Its great that you have substantially all of the virtues of the Auditorium at a fraction of the price ... that sounds like an audio bargain to me. In fact the cables you suggested sound so affordbale that I might try them someday.

Thanks for your responses gentleman!

I've had them on loan from a friend for some while-- the auditorium 23's-- and I will say I think the overused term 'balanced' comes to mind.
They certainly dont seem to highlight any particular frequency though I would not call them laid back at all.  As for 'bloated bass'-- you got me-- Certainly not audible  by way of comparison with the other two well-regarded speaker cables I use.  Of course-- with my currrent speakers-- I wouldnt know about bloated LOW bass-- only mid-bass or so-- and there aint no bloat there.
I get slightly more detail (fingers on strings/rosin/breathing/chairs squeaking) via my Argent Audio Pursang S (silver based) and my JPS cables are a touch warmer-- but I feel the tone with the 23's is about as good as I've heard. Stings, voices etc.-- quite natural and this is both with and without Shindo gear (heard it with Montille/Aurieges).   seems to catch the overtones of say, a single violin, better than many cables I've heard- without undue emphasis.
BTW-- if it helps, I am using Living Voice IBXR-2's-- also on loan from same friend (currently remodeling house with nowhere to put his seestem-- poor him-- but fortunate me!!).  These are supposed to work well with this speaker cable so maybe that's it-- but the other cables work well too with it cause it's just a solid speaker design.
Actually-- the Auditoriums kinda remind me of the LV's-- both do no one thing spectacularly-- but both are quite balanced and get the 'big picture' in terms of music making.  Just my two Euros (our money is going down-- so I'm switching to Euros when giving my opinion)...
