Ken
Did you get a chance to hear the Alethias ?

alwayslearning

Yea.  It's almost perfectisimo.
I'm ready to move from the full-range single Alethias to bi-wire Alethias.  Only problem i$ $$$$$.  Dang! .

How's your search comin' along?

bluemike

The new speakers should be here by the end of the month
i've added some room treatments and now looking at speaker cables

I'm now going out to tackle the snow !!!!! wish me luck

alwayslearning

G'luck with the snow.  Fortunately I don't deal with snow often in Seattle.

so...... Don't leave me guessing m'friend.... which speakers will you be receiving?

If I can round up a pair of bi-wire Alethias cables, I will be selling the full range, single wire, 5' pair I have.  Depending on your synergy & finances & length requirements, you may want to consider the Alethias if they become available.

PS-  Isn't the feeling of anticipation of new gear a great feeling?

bluemike

Sason's should be in the house by the end of the month or thereabouts

As for speaker cable I need some long lengths 12 feet to be exact

I do have a few options that i'm considering.

Yes I agree the anticipation of new gear is a great feeling and gives me goose bumps when I sit and think about the potential  :D

Heartiest congratulations!
The Sason's are fantastic speakers in my opinion.

Thanks Ken
Your input was key along with other Sason owners that chimed in

What do the Alethius do that your other speaker cables were missing
You're not the first person that is ga ga over Robert's cables and power cords.

I get the synergy part  aa

Hmm...
You need to know that I had been using cables that are almost a decade old, Apex ICTL Signature bi-wires.  They're actually a classic in my mind.  They sounded great with the Sason's.

When I hooked up the Alethias,to my surprise,  timbres distinctions become even more apparent.  The soundstage seemed to deepen, particularly noticeable with acoustic chamber jazz.  It was like adjusting contrast & brightness while watching a movie- the images become more distinguished.  I noticed this particularly in the upper midrange & highs.  I was concerned that my sound might be too bright with the silver, but that was certainly not the case.

I suppose, technically, the Alethias wiring compliments/extends the internal Sason wiring seamlessly.  My amps & the Sason's are optimized for bi-wiring, hence my hope to go to the next level of Alethias shotguns.

BTW You're not shovelling snow, & I'm not doing report cards.  Something be said for procrastination, eh?
