There are a lot of experts here so I thought I'd post this question: assuming you're using a 2-channel sacd disk, is it possible to rip a sacd to your computer using exact audio copy?  Would it be played in the same high resolution using a player like winamp?

thanks for your input.

You can't play an SACD on a computer unless it's a hybrid.  Even then, I've seen some trouble getting it to mount (depends on the CDR drive).

If it does mount, you'll probably be able to rip the PCM layer, but that's just like ripping a regular CD at that point.

I'm guessing that right now the best you could do would be conversion to 24 bit PCM and play it that way.  Not ideal but should still sound very good.
