Get together in Southeast Michigan - What works for you?

So without consulting the "boss" I wanted to get this thing moving and I'll deal with that later.

My thoughts were to have a GTG during daylight hours on March 29 or wait until the evening of the Saturday of AKFest which limits the hours available (I'm not a night owl - hint). I am 35 minutes southeast of the AKFest site, so a drive and probably means Jim and some others would pass on the long drive down and back, etc.

Cast your vote and post if you want to attend. I'll have the 2 channel room, HT, and surely something from Jim outside of what I already own.

Date works for me. Would love to hear the system and room layout. Hopefully Mr. Salk can join so I can talk to him about a ST HT. We have new wood floor going in that week and moving into the folks place while they are on vacation. Be a great day to have a GTG for me.

35 minutes in non-rush hour traffic. Oddly enough I work in Southfield and drive there everyday unless I'm travelling.

I didn't vote. But I think either date would work for me. If anyone else from Ann Arbor wants to go, we should talk about carpooling.

I'm in for either day, but I voted for the 29th of March as I am off that day. Even though I have to work on May 3rd, I'm thinking I will be "banging in" that day.

So, I'll be there either way.

I live in the Ypsi (Textile/Whittaker area) and you are more than welcome to tag along with my wife and I if you would like to carpool. Let me know what you would like to do as the dates approach. If you drive to my place, I can fire up my system for you for a listen if you would like.

BTW, AKFEST 2008 hotel venue has now changed. It is now at the Embassy suites off of 7mile and I-275.... SO MUCH NICER!
I dont think the lights are on at the Southfield hotel anymore....

The new venue is now only 20 minutes from my house. Much closer.

However, word is rooms are going fast, so if you plan to stay there book NOW to get the $99 rate!

Just an FYI. The new amp should be here Friday and I have ordered a Silver Dragon 6 awg PC from Moon Audio for it as well as I need 10 feet of cable to reach out into the room. No rack yet for it so that will be later.
