Infinity RS-4.5 and Bryston 4B ST
« on: 2 Mar 2008, 11:14 am »
Has anyone tried this combo?  The Infinity uses the Watkins woofer and exhibits very low impedance below 30 Hz (supposedly around 1.5 ohm).  Would this be an issue driving the Infinity full range with the 4B ST?

Thanks,
Keith

Several years ago I used the 4.5 with two 3B's.

Later I bought two 4B ST.  Beautiful combination, great sound!

Hi thanks for the feedback!  I am thinking of biamping with 2 4B-STs myself.  Did you ever try running a single 4B-ST full-range with the 4.5s?

Thanks,
Keith

I only tried one 4B ST with the Infinity RS2A.

Two 4B ST's made me a happy man!

I wonder if the earlier 4B models might be acceptable just for the bass section.  They tend to be cheaper than the ST/SST models.
