Sale Pending: Cary/AES Six Pacs Mono's in Silver

Recently married and time to sell a few amplifiers - my YBA integrated has found a new home, now my favorite tubed monos:

Beautiful pair of Cary/AES Six Pac monos in silver, with factory upgraded oil filled coupling caps and WBT binding posts, about 1 1/2 years old.  Named a Reviewer's Choice award at Soundstage, many consider the SixPacs the best tubed amps near their price - wonderfully detailed without a trace of harshness.  As a reviewer said, if it's on the source, you'll hear it.

Andrew Chasin of Soundstage:

"The Audio Electronic Supply SixPacs are a breakthrough in terms of tube-amplifier price and performance - a pair of Dennis Had-designed, hand-wired, all-tube, 50W monoblocks made to Cary Audio standards and backed by the same company that stands behind the Cary Audio name. Sonically, the SixPacs are laughingly good and competitive with amplifiers that cost several times their price."

Sasha Matson of Positive Feedback:

"The music made by the Sixpacs contains that magical elusive factor I associate with the live concert experience. It is not a matter of playing louder; these amplifiers sound marvelous at any listening level. The music seems alive and fully formed, with body and heft that appear lifelike and fluid, rather than containing any tube artifacts or over-emphasized frequency ranges. These amplifiers play flat throughout the harmonic spectrum without being overly analytical or lifeless. If it's on your recordings and making it through the rest of the reproduction chain, you are going to hear it loud and clear."

Specs and full reviews can be found at: sixpacs.com

Both monos are in excellent condition, with no scratches, dents, dings.  When I purchased the Six Pacs, one transformer cover was a bit cosmetically challenged so I purchased a new one from Cary.  Like the other it is in new condition, though there is some gap on one side between the cover and the top of the amp, maybe 1/16 of an inch, but I don't want to over tighten the cover - behind the faceplate and tubes, it is not noticable, but I'll mention it anyway.

Buyer pays shipping and any PP fees.  With upgrades the mono's are about $2,800, so I'm thinking $1,575 or best offer.  Power tubes are strong without any noise or hissy fits.  I'll include some extra input tubes for free, and can sell a complete matched set of new Cary tubes for half price to the buyer that I have as back up.

Thanks for looking!
