Well just over two weeks ago I contacted B&K and spoke to Bill (ext. 26) and he new exactly what the problem was and for me to send it in to him.
It cost me $20 shipping and it took exactly 2 weeks to turn it around. Bill even called me when he had it on his bench. He upgraded the software from V 1.0 to V 1.04 and gave it a new EEPROM among whatever grounding he needed to do.
It now sounds great (and quiet) and I am very impressed with B&K's customer service.
I can now recommend this unit.
