Mini Strata?
Can the speaker from av123.com (Mini Strata) be considered an audiophile type quality speaker? I know this site doesnt really cater to their products but I am looking for those that have the speakers and I would like to have their own perspective.

I definitely think they should be considered audiophile quality, but they didn't give me quite everything I was looking for... so I am building the GR-research Ob-7's. If you would like to hear the Mini's we could set up a time and you could come by for a listen. I live in Naperville IL.  That's the only way you really could see if they give you what you are looking for. Except of course, my equipment is different than yours so you still can't be sure, but at least it would give you a reference point.

I intend to sell them once I have my new speakers up and running. Now I am not trying to push them on you, BUT If you like them and want this pair, I would give you a good price since it would take the hassle out of the whole thing. Irregardless of any of that, the offer is open to listen.

As far as asking on AV123 forum... I doubt that they would give any counterargument to the quality of the speakers there.  I say that completely without any cynicism intended, I like that forum and company a lot, but the crowd there just doesn't seem to have offer much counterbalance to any of the products, at least from what I had seen.

IMO, yes... The Mini is definitely an audiophile speaker. I'm sure there are better speakers out there but speaker evaluation is a very subjective one, and it varies wildly from person to person. You just have to try it out in your own system with your own ears to see if the synergy is there.

I have to agree the Mini is in an audiophile class speaker. I don't have alot of expertise but did own some upper tier Rockets and the Mini's are in another class above the Rockets. I think for the money, especially on the used market they are unbeatable.

I have owned a pair of Minis for almost a year & enjoy them every day. At their pricepoint, they are an excellent speaker. Unfortunately, I have mine in a spare bedroom due to lack of a proper listening room, but even in this unremarkable setting, they really do sound wonderful with all types of music.
