LP Swap Market?

Hey,

Do you guys have any interest in a thread dedicated to selling and/or trading LPs in this forum?  I have a few LPs to sell/trade, and many more to come but was thinking that here might be more visible, at least to us vinyl addicts, than in the trading forum.

Anyone else have stuff?

I have off the top of my head the following LPs.

Sonic Youth - Murray Street (bought new, but not my cup of tea)
Sonic Youth - some single/ep I will have to look up
Pink Floyd - DSOTM, Animals, WYWH, The Wall, all decent quality but not mint.  Have too many copies.
Lots of country and 80's pop that I came upon that I am willing to pass on for peanuts to an interested party.

I'd be interested if there was some way to make it workable.  I'll admit, though, that my tastes are quirky so it might be hard to arrange mutually-beneficial swaps. Still, it can't hurt to try????

My thoughts were to make a sticky thread, and everyone who has LPs to trade/sell can list them.  If you see something your interested in someone else's list and they find something in yours then swap, else make them an offer.  I just thought, this could work to make a lot of lists of stuff you have that you might want to rid.

Confusing enough?

Yeah, I'd be willing to play!!  Sometimes it's interesting to think about what LP's or CD's one could do without.  And, honestly, I've got some LP's that I've bought second hand that I''ve just never listened to.

Hey, gang.

Awhile back I started just such a group at Yahoo, dedicated to trading good used vinyl. Here's the URL:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thevinyltrader/

Please check out the rules for trading before joining. It's totally free & hopefully we can have some fun with it.

You don't often see Barbra Steisand and Iron Maiden on the same list!

Bobbo,

Thanks for the heads up!  I think that might be the best place to swap LPs.  If some of us get involved there I will make a permanent sticky with link.
