As for our speakers, jackman, you've heard them, so why be concerned about measurements? They were good enough to win the "Best of CES" award for High End Audio the past two years running. Now that's a measure of quality you can hold on to!!

I must say I find it amusing that you put any stock on any award from TechTV, which is the party that does the "Best of CES" awards.

The judges for the "Best of CES" award hired by Tech TV are not regular employees of the network, but knowledgable outsiders who award the Best of CES prize only.  There have been different judges each of the two years, and no one knew this year that we had won the previous year with the exception of one judge who did not participate in the High End Audio category voting.

That's good enough for me, considering the competition.  I understand the world's largest speaker company spent over $1,000,000 on an expensive system designed solely to win the award.  The $18,000pr speaker impressed the judges but did not make the finals.

Our judges are culled from the ranks of professional product reviewers. Our product reviewers come from TechTV and other well-known media organizations. All judges have extensive experience evaluating, purchasing, and using products in the category they are judging."

This is the criteria as listed for the 2004 Best of CES Awards. Therefore the judges could be from TechTV or "other well-known media organizations." Do you happen to know where in particular the judges of the "High-End Audio" category for both years came from?

The "Best of CES" judges I talked to both years were audio engineers, computer experts, some degreed scientists and several audiophiles.
There were also a few who had no previous contact with high end audio but owned good systems.
