Hi,

well I hope this is ok to ask here. Going way back to the Oct. 2006, you reviewed the transcendentsound Tube Preamp. Now when it came time to make some changes, that is what interested me. Did replacing the pot with Bruce's atenuator make a difference in sound. Someone told me that it actually depresses dynamic range. So I'd thought I would ask since it was installed on a reviewed piece of gear. I'm considering getting one. That would be my forre in to the world of tubes. i've also read fairly consistently that when replacing the Selector switch, just wire it directly from the switch to the RCA Jacks, bypassing the traces on the board. Supposed to help improve bass and more openness. Anyway, that's all I have to add and ask.
