http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=49456.0I got both of them back from Wayne working. He did a little extra to the white one, and while it has a lot of burn in time it sounds great. I have to say even out of the box the Bolder mods are really good. I have been listening to small changes in sound as it breaks in, and still have a long time. I know what BlackGates sound like when done breaking in, and this is going to sound amazing! I will say there is a big difference in dynamic range. This could have something to do with the KE being for sure 106db sensitive, not sure. I do know my black one with the KE in it sounded better stock than my white one with the regular. Now the truth is sometimes the regular sound as good or better than some KE, as Wayne has pointed out, but sometimes not, as in my case.
One of them has similar modifications (home ones) to Gary's, and I will break it in and compare the two when I can.
