There are many great songs. As audiophiles we may come to appreciate a song even more in high resolution. Tell us what it does for you or why you like it.
I'll start, Tarkus - by Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Show That Never Ends.
Tarkus is a powerful intense masterpiece played with guts and emotion. The song begins with a powerful unrelenting assault intro, that continues into a melodic hypnotic beat, that ends as abruptly as it started.
My mind goes on a trip where I'm riding a powerful diesel locomotive freight train on a mission destination. That ends, pulling into station, mission accomplished!
But it's not just the mindscape. It's the analog synth that sounds like a pipe organ at times or a hammond organ with the powerful tube sound. It's the heavy bass playing. The precision drumming that fits so well with the assault on the keyboards.
An acquired taste like beer, that has no substitute once addicted.
