I am a big Jack Johnson fan.  I think his records/cd always have pretty decent recording quality.  More importantly the music is always very good IMO.

I thought I read somewhere that he rocks out more on this new album.  I could be thinking of someone else.  I hope to find out very soon.

I hope I can get the cd today or later this week.  All analog & solar powered sounds awesome!

OT:  The song "Banana Pancakes" is a favorite for my wife and me.  Her name is Juanita.  While on our honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta,
we had breakfast one morning at a little cafe.  Their menu name for banana pancakes was "Juanita Banana"

Banana Pankackes is a favorite of the wife and me as well.  We too honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta (1997).  In fact we had breakfast and ate a banana AND her name, Jackie, starts with a J.

I've had a few times through the CD now.
The recording and sound are excellent.  Very dynamic.
Listening at good volume at home makes a huge difference over playing through my Tivoli at work.

Still trying to get into the music.  A few songs click, but the rest blend together somewhat.
Since he has two kids now, it comes across as him worried about the f*cked up world he has brought them into.
