How big is yours?

How big is your listening room (square feet)?  To keep it simple we'll assume standard 8' height.  If you have taller or cathedral ceilings please post so we can get an idea of how many are bigger than average.

If your room opens into another room and you consider it part of the main room I think you should include it as well.

You can vote up to three times to include 2 channel and HT rooms.

Pretty cool this is asking for square footage and not inches aa

I entered for both HT and 2 channel rooms.  Neither opens to another.

Two channel = 435ft2 basement 7' ceiling.
HT = living room 546ft2 cathedral ceiling, back opens up to 435ft2 room 8' ceilings.

would it not be tubular feet or tubular inches. :o
If it makes it bigger use that one.  All I know mine, from my end, it's the biggest thing in the world. :icon_lol:

12 x 18 with 11ft ceilings and the room has two giant archeways opening into other rooms, so it isn't exactly 12x18.

Does size matter?  I realize the equipment has to match the room, but given the appropriate audio gear, is a bigger room better for sound than a smaller room (all other things being equal, such as shape and materials)?  Is there an ideal size?

The new room is 15 x 21 with 9ft ceilings. Works out to 315ft2, and 2835ft3. Actually slightly smaller due to the walls but those are the raw dimensions.

Bigger is always better.  Unless you are in one of those multiple dimension of rooms.

I agree with Max.  I've had small and medium sized rooms and now that I have a bigger room,
I'd hate to have to go back.  It really gives the presentation much more realism.

My lower living room (where the BIG is) measures 32 x 28. The MartinLogans occupy the space nicely and I could never have that system in a smaller room. You need room for large speakers to bloom.

18x23x10, audio only, I can't do math so I don't know the square footage.

My system is the center of our home.  The room is 30 x 24 with the system along the 30' wall.  That wall is 10' high and the room has cathedral ceilings that run to 22'.  The main room is open to our kitchen and a loft area.

My Dunlavy Vs sound amazing in this room.  They are centered on the 30' wall (only about a foot from the wall), seperated by 12' and toed in to a sweet spot 18' from the wall.  The soundstage is very wide/high and deep.
