Well, Isabella the first is approaching a year. Surely
walking or soon will be.  Raising a kid is the most
interesting thing I have done, and continues to be.
My kid is 32.

My modified 70.2s are broke in.  If the 30.2 is a lunar
eclipse, the 70.2s are surely a solar eclipse. 

So when might we expect Isbella's audio namesake?
My ancient Timbre TT-1 dac is sagging.

don: how long did the break-in take? i just hooked up my modded .2's last night and am really pumped!

btw, saw miss isabella in person and not only is she ridiculously cute and personable, she is also walking!

I have at least 100 hours on the mods. For the
first 50 hours or so, I could hear fairly distinct
jumps from one listening session to the next.
And--of course--it is hard to remember.

The music demands your attention.
I don't try to do anything much but listen.
It was 2 a.m. this morning when I trucked off
to bed. I nodded off, I think for a time around
12:30, but I woke up and listen to William
Parker's amazing album Raincoat in the River
between 1 and 2 a.m.  I am hearing the music
as never before.

I apologize for the delayed response... I am fighting off a really nasty cold/virus and have been in bed for a couple of days.

I'm hoping to have The Isabella in production by the end of March.  At the time gets closer, I'll be posting updates.

Glad you got to meet her in person... she brings Jen and I so much happiness every day.

As long as she isn't chewing on audio equipment, I'm alright with it! 


Of course when I have the Isabella tubed preamp prototype enclosure finished, I'll post "proud papa" pics of it here as well

She's adorable.
You're so lucky to have her in your life, Vinnie  .
Never having any kids of my own  , I've always had the pleasure of
being the favorite uncle, even to my sister's grandkids, who call
me 'uncle' as well.
Hopefully, in all of this, there will be someone
who can carry on the tradition of cutting edge circuit design,
or build the perfect speaker, or cable, or heck, even lead this nation.

Yes, the possibilities are endless... Isabella is a very "inquisitive" baby (or should I say toddler now that she is walking and will be 12 months old in a few days  ) and we'll see if she takes an interest in what "daddy does" as she gets older.  No matter what she wants to do as long as she is happy, Jen and I will be happy
