Well, here it is: My first review and pics!
Pictures here: http://www.audioasylum.com/forums/MUG/messages/12/122180.html

I'll keep it semi-short. I'm no audiophile, so keep that in mind.

This system has been a long time in the making. Started with Sony speakers and all that stuff until I found real audio. Went to maggie 1.6's and Rotel, Bryston, and now Odyssey/Symphonic line.

My equipment now is  Maggie 20.1's, Rg4 Symphonic Line Mono Blocks, a Candela Pre amp, and a Rotel (I know, I know) Cd player. Next to go is the Rotel. Cables and interconnects are Groneberg. 6 Real traps in the room at corners and first reflection points. LOVE these. Huge upgrade to the sound.

First off, Klaus is an upstanding guy. The reviews about his customer service are all true... very very good. He is however very busy, which is evident. Getting a tracking number sometimes was like pulling teeth; hence my equipment spent an extra long weekend on a fedex truck. Fed ex will not come up to my floor, so I have to know when boxes are coming to look out for the truck. Let me state this now: Fed ex and UPS hate me. I have had so many things broke, and our deal(s) was no exception. My Candela pre came damaged. Klaus fixed it of course, no problem. Just really annoying.

Had a problem with the rg4's blowing fuses. Klaus took the stuff back (again) and not only did he make it right, he went above and beyond. I will not expose our dealings here, but he said he wanted me to be 100% happy, and I am.

Bottom line: The mono amps are amazing. My maggies have bass! The Candela is also quite nice. I love the silver finish. The system sounds unreal right now, and I am a perfectionist. It's not up to 100% yet, but to do that would cost many more thousands than I have already spent. I am very happy in all with Klaus and the Odyssey/Symphonic Line. Mye stands soon, as well as some kind of cd player. Any suggestions?

I think your room looks great, and I bet it sounds great, too. :thumb:

My only suggestions would be to get those amps up off the floor and enjoy the music.

Looks great and I'm sure it sounds better.   :D

Just curious how you came to the Symphonic Line monos?  Did you have to opportunity to compare them to Odyssey Monos or other brands?

Thanks Bob,

The room is a bit small for the maggies (18 long by 15 wide) but it still sounds pretty unreal. Klaus happened to have some used RG4's coming in. I jumped on them. I did not have the opportunity to compare them to odyssey amps, however I plan to bi amp with some mono extremes!!! I had a Bryston 4bsst for a bit which did the trick, but was obviously under powering the maggies. Thanks for the kind words.

If you're able, can you post some up-close photos of the amps?  Maybe even an interior shot?  I'm sure I'm not the only one here that would like to see more.

Thanks, Bob

As for killer stands with your amps, you'll be hard pressed to do better than Sistrum Platforms. DoubleUgly will support me on this considering he recommended them to me.   I'll get clarity that you're not getting now with Sistrum Platforms. I use the Sistrum Platform SP-004 for my 4 Lorelei's and I highly recommend them.  :thumb:
