Dealers and upgrades...

Vinnie,
I notice you now have many international  dealers.
One of the disincentives to upgrade my Sig 30 is that the shipping doubles the upgrade cost.  Can my local dealer (NZ) do upgrades  from  30 to  30.2 ?( sonic  upgrades only)

Hi fu_man,

This is a very good question, and the answer is "no."

Upgrading the 30 (or 70s) to the 30.2 (or 70.2s) involves a lot of complicated soldering, re-wiring, etc.  This is not something that I can allow anyone to do except Red Wine Audio.  Mistakes can lead to big problems and I do not wish to go down that path.

Thank you for your post,

Vinnie

thanks Vinnie,
that's both disappointing and  reassuring at the same time.   :)

can the Omega Sig 30's receive the sonic only upgrades?

I can understand that it is disappointing for our international customers to have
to send their units back for upgrade, but I need to have total control over such a detailed "surgery" to make sure everything is perfect.  Deviations in the way things
are done will lead to inconsistant and non-optimal results and I cannot have that.:whip:

Absolutely!

I had an Omega Sig 30 in maple and had it upgraded to Sig.2 status.  It still looks as beautiful as ever and sounds terrific!
