I just received my used 102b and I have a question. The EL84 tubes appear to be JJ, the 12AT7 and 12AX7 tubes are Electro-harmonix. I used Deoxit and Progold on the pins before inserting the tubes.
My question is, one of the EL84 tubes does not have the mirrored top, it is light brown and another has a spot in the mirrored top. Is this indicative of an issue with these tubes? They biased fine (all at 20V) and the amp sounds good, even with very little warm-up time. One of the pins on the tube without the mirrored top (not really a clear top just slightly translucent brown) was black prior to cleaning.
