Very nice looking speaker.  Is this center channel going to be used with the Garnets?  If so, which tweeter would you use in the Garnet?

It was designed to go with the 3D that we showed at the 2006 RMAF show. With the Garnet I haven't designed a companion center channel but that certainly could be done. Right now I'm working on one that matches with the Galena and SSR.

How does the 3DCC sonically mate with the 3D? Just curious since one is obviously open baffle while the other is enclosed (sealed?). Do you notice a difference?

Also, how's the off axis reponse (V an H)?

BTW, looks beautiful as usual :). Oh... what's the plan for surrounds?

It's a sealed box voiced to match the 3D. Obviously the midrange radiation pattern is different but for this system a direct radiator was more practical in terms of placement. The horizontal off-axis response is better than most any horizontal MTM because we used 5" woofers with a large ribbon. Spacing is tighter between the woofers and the large ribbon gives us a lower crossover point. The off-axis response is very good but of course more narrow vertically with the larger ribbon; however, I did some tricks with the crossover to optimize both the vertical and horizontal coverage.  :thumb:

Looks absolutely fantastic Rick, I think it's going to be a spot on match for the look of the 3D's and I'm sure it'll sound equally as good ;).
