He's a local guy, went to school on the campus I attended and now work at, although I never met him.

I've seen that series of shots before, but I still look at every one when they come up again. Still gets me like it's the first time.

That image is undeniably moving.

An image that I'll never get out of my head was that of a fireman's helmet that was punctured through the front of it, in a monument they had built with rubble from ground zero in Penn Station in NYC after the 9/11 attacks.

I visited NYC on the anniversary of 9/11, (went to ground zero) and I'll never get those images out of my head. It consumed me for quite a while after my visit. Actually, it was a life altering experience.

It was a very sombre experience. What a beautiful city, and to have it permanently marred like that was blasphemous.

Things like this, truly affect me deeply as I'm getting older.

I find myself wishing for the world to be a better, more harmonious place all the time.

Hatred is an ugly, ugly thing....
