After a few upgrades, this is the current chain, of which i'm satisfied.
The interconnects are the weak link. The digital cable seem to be good enough for now.

CD Transport: Teac VRDS 10se (with Trentlabs XO3 clock +XO supply, IEC furutech, power cable Transparent Powerlink plus)
DAC: TwinDAC+, silver digital cable, diy
Amplifier: Classé CAP-100, LessLoss power cable
Speakers: Linn AV5140, with Soundcare M8, cables Kubala-Sosna Fascination
AC filter: Direct Audio AF1 MKII, diy power distributor with high quality cabling and components (each plug is independent)

I'm looking for more airy and open sound and more controlled and drier basses. I want to preserve all the sweetness of the mid-high range of my vdh, adding eventually more detail and transparency.
Top tier (cable must be RCA):

Nordost SPM Reference, Frey
Straight Wire Crescendo
Siltech SQ-80 G3 and SQ-88 G5

My suggestion would be to take a serious look at KCI cables, I've tried many brands and am just in love with Johns cables and
they seem to offer exactly what you state you are looking for in a cable. He is a member here on ac, if you pm him he is very
responsive and helpful.

I have choosen the Siltech SQ-88 G5. Hope I'll enjoy them.
