If I am not going to be using my Signature 70s for a while and assuming they are completely disconnected, turned off and were fully charged beforehand, will the batteries still gradually lose charge and if so how often will I need to recharge them?

Yes, you want to fully charge the batteries and disconnect the charger from the amplifier.

I recommend that you apply a "top-off" charge to them every 6 months if possible.
