Will the Duet remote only work on Logitech products or can it work with say the Ipod or Wadia's new ipod unit?

It is a wifi device, programmed to communicate only to the Slimserver application, running somewhere on your local area network. It won't work with other brands' gear.

I signed up for the availability notification. I wonder where I'll hear it's for sale first: here on AC, or email from Logitech? Hmmmm... I wonder.  duh

there are a few who are using the new ipod touch (itouch) as a slimserver remote which supposedly works fantastic.  i have thought of the idea (extreme cool factor), but i still think using the standard remote/universal remote and the display is the quickest way to get to your music.  but, for simple setups i think this idea is awesome.

The remote kicks serious butt... I love using it.  I've had a chance to be a part of the beta program and am writing a review now.  My business partner is auditioning it now and taking notes.. once we can compare them I'll post the review.
