Tuning Tips for RM2
« on: 28 Sep 2003, 06:57 pm »
I have had my RM2s for a few months, and I have just started to seriously tune them. I am bi-amping, with a pair of AES Sixpacs on top and a Parasound 1500 for the bass. The bass is currently just a bit too "boomy". However, if I turn the input levels down at all on the Parasound, I feel that I am losing too much bass. Will removing more putty from the PR solve the boominess?

Thanks!

The RM 2, like our other PR systems, is supplied overdamped, which can sound either thin or boomy.  Removing putty as per the instructions is required.  Go to our website www.vmpsaudio.com, click on Designers Corner, then the How To Tips for instructions.
